Twenty guest potters are supporting a POTTERY SALE to benefit S.A.F.E. STUDIO in Ipswich. The
Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center has merged this past year with Survivor Art for Empowerment Studio in Ipswich,
bringing art therapy to the region. S.A.F.E. Studio is a place of support, safety and expression for
abuse and trauma survivors. Its purpose is to enhance the current traditional therapeutic and educational
services available to survivors. The unique and wonderful pottery has been donated by local North Shore artists
in support of S.A.F.E. Studio. Join us on Friday, Dec. 3rd for an artist reception from 4 to 7 P.M., or on
Saturday, December 4th 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at S.A.F.E. Studio, 18 D Mitchell Road, Ipswich, MA.

Engage Your Core Pilates is holding a "Brand New Body Challenge" to Support the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center.
It begins on October 30 and lasts 10 weeks at Engage Your Core Pilates,
Newburyport, MA. There is a $20 entry fee, with 100% donated to the Center. Participants who complete the challenge
within 10 weeks receive a gift bag valued at $200 - $500+!

On Friday, Nov. 5th at 7pm, Author Allan Johnson and Jabberwocky Bookshop, 50 Water Street in
Newburyport, will host a book signing of The First Thing and the Last. 20% of the proceeds from sales will benefit the Center.

Monday, October 25th is Community Sponsorship Night at Michael’s Harborside. 15% of the proceeds from the evening will benefit the Center.

On Saturday, October 9th from 7-9pm, Jabberwocky Bookshop, 50 Water Street in
Newburyport, there will be a book signing of Birth of the Phoenix by Harriett B.
Varney Miller. Jabberwocky Bookshop will donate 20% of the profit from sales to the Center.

Congratulations to thirteen-year-old Sevine Clarey of West Newbury! Sevine is the winner of the "What
Peace Means to Me" art contest. Her artwork will be reproduced as the official button of the 19th
Annual Walk Against Violence and Dorothy’s Run 5K on Oct. 17

First Congregational Church of Georgetown, MA is hosting a Girls Night Out! The Cheap Chic Fashion Show
(Highlighting Gently Used Re-Sale Fashions), will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 7:30 p.m.

The Law Office of Lynne A. Saben will be raffling off a genuine Coach bag at the Fall into Health,
Fitness, Fashion and Fun Fair on Saturday, October 2nd from 11:00am -2:00 p.m. at the Merrimack
Valley Hospital, 140 Lincoln Avenue in Haverhill. Raffle tckets are $5.00 each. A portion of the proceeds

Kudos to Tokyo Joe’s Studios of Self Defense Salisbury, MA! As part of its commitment to
a safer and more secure community, Tokyo Joe's offers a free self-defense class to women and
girls on the last Tuesday evening of every month. Offered at no charge, they ask all the
students of their women's self-defense class to make a $10 donation to the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center.

Suzanne Dubus, Executive Director thanks Representative Mike Costello for
announcing the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center's award of a $90,000 Byrne Grant
for its efforts to fight domestic violence. The money will be used to support
Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center's Greater Newburyport High-Risk Case Response Team.
